Video: Artist’s Day at Vizcaya, 1960

Artist’s Day at Vizcaya in 1960 looks like a rather bohemian affair, but then Vizcaya is in Coconut Grove. OK, the far northern edge of Coconut Grove, but still. Artists and wannabe artists sought out The Muse in James Deering’s gardens and expressed their inner selves en plein aire. Learning From Miami cannot endorse some of the wardrobe in this clip, but we stand by our commitment to present Miami’s history frankly, openly and as it happened.
