The Look of Opa-Locka

Here’s a preview of one of the elements in Learning From Miami’s upcoming exhibition, “Opa-Locka: Mirage City” – computer-animated renderings of  historic Opa-Locka buildings. This animated video includes five residential buildings and the spectacular city Bathing Pavillion. Architectural Digital Modeling Specialist Fausto Rivas created the animations in consultation with Jose R. Vazquez, Associate Professor of Architecture at Miami Dade College, who is curating the exhibition.

“Opa-Locka: Mirage City,” presented by HistoryMiami in conjunction with the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives at Miami Dade College and the University of Miami Libraries, Special Collections, opens June 28 and will be on view at HistoryMiami through September 8, 2013.
